What you'll be doing as a Programmatic Yield Manager:
Procure Inventory Deals
- Negotiate with Publishers and Data providers to ensure the most effective access and costs.
- Partner with sales, marketing, and account teams to align on campaign strategies and client goals, including inventory packaging, pricing, and custom inventory requests.
- Partner with Operations and Sales to provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance campaign performance.
Campaign and Inventory Management
- Optimize media buying strategies, including private marketplace (PMP) deals and programmatic auctions.
- Implement tools and processes to enhance ad fraud prevention and ensure high viewability rates.
Revenue Optimization
- Develop and implement dynamic pricing models based on demand, competition, and market conditions.
- Monitor PMP performance and negotiate pricing with SSP and Publisher partners.
- Standardize contract groups and templates.
- Organize the packaging of deals.
- Document all processes for both internal (operational) and external (sales) use.
- Monitor inventory thresholds and adjust pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
- Identify high-margin inventory opportunities and allocate resources accordingly.
- Identify opportunities to improve data targeting strategies and partnerships.
Data Analysis and Strategy
- Analyze historical and real-time data to forecast demand and optimize inventory utilization.
- Identify and utilize predictive analytics and machine learning tools to define pricing and bidding strategies.
- Utilize dashboards for real-time performance monitoring and reporting.
Continuous Improvement
- Conduct post-mortem analyses to evaluate campaign performance and refine strategies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor strategies, and economic indicators.
- Innovate targeting approaches and explore new opportunities for client success.
- Evaluate and continuously enhance Supply Path Optimization and Data Path Optimization strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Data Science, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in yield management, ad operations, or revenue optimization.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools like Google Analytics, Sigma Computing, Tableau, Looker, or programmatic platforms (e.g., The Trade Desk, Google DV360).
- Proven negotiation skills.
- Experience with AI-driven analytics and revenue management systems (RMS) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding KPIs like ROAS, CPA, and conversion rates.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Experience with writing process documentation.
The target annual base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 based on experience, plus bonus.
